Now, those who are in Christ are saved, in Noah's time those who were in the ark to got saved. The ark represented Christ;

It is interesting to see what it is like being in Christ with respect to being in the ark. To understand this we need to know a bit about the structure of the ark, (Genesis 6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.) the bible states that the door was on the side.. it had three stories and the window was on the top a cubit from above.

Since the door is on the side, and considering the fact that the ark was set on dry ground, those who enter the ark, would enter the lower deck and the window is only one cubit from above, so it must be in the upper deck, the only ventilation for the ark.

All who entered the ark are saved, irrespective of the deck they are in. So does it matter which deck they are in?

We know that all kinds of animals and birds were in the ark; obviously the larger mammals might be in the lower deck and those who travel in the lower deck will have to travel with them. Even if you don’t get crushed, it will be dark and stinking down there and though you will reach your destiny, you will never be able to enjoy your journey.

Now if we move to the middle deck? It will be better, there you don't have to worry about being crushed by an elephant, but there too it stinks and that dropping from all the birds all over you. It’s better than the lower deck still not what God intended you to have.

What makes the top deck different? It has abundance of fresh air and light. Jesus is the light of men (John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.) and the Holy Spirit is often related to moving air, wind, breath etc., so the top deck represents the abundant presence of Jesus and Holy Spirit. So to enjoy the trip you need to be on the top deck, staying in the bottom deck and complaining won’t help. God has provided us what is needed, now it’s our turn to acquire it.

It’s the same being in Christ, even though that gets you a berth in heaven, to enjoy your life one need to grow in Christ.

To grow in Christ is to become like him, for that first we need to know him, to know him we need to spend time with him, communicate with him, and be in his presence. Climb on to the top deck, be in his presence and enjoy the trip.

(Psalms 37:4-5 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.)

Waiting on God

Its often hard to wait especially when you already know the promise, I was in a similar situation, I know my call it was confirmed my other men of God but its yet to come to pass.

I was thinking about how I can make it come to pass, it almost frustrated me, but then when I was reading the word, God spoke to me, he showed me the consequences of over stepping his time frame and doing things on our own.

Abraham, he was a man of faith and trusted God, but still he got frustrated waiting for his promise, so he and his wife made up a plan, for Abraham to marry Hagar. The outcome was not what was promised, he still have to wait another 14 years for that promise to come to pass.

But the consequences? What did God tell Hagar about Ismael? Genesis 16:12 He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”

Don’t we see this even today? The Arab – Israel conflicts which is still going on, the consequence of that one mistake Abraham made 4000 years ago?

So its better to wait on God for directions than to do something on our own, God is merciful, he will forgive our mistakes, but we still need to go through the consequences.

It doest mean we need to be idle and do nothing, we need to follow his directions one step at a time, grabbing all the opportunities that come our way.

God Bless you.

God is Love

There is lot of misunderstanding on the sovereignty and the love of God, its true that God know all things, but not all that happens are according to his will and authority.

Jesus portrays God the Father better than any parent in this world in verses Matthew 7:9-11. Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone; or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Does any parent let their kids to be beaten or raped or get infected with some decease to let them learn patience or endurance? If not why you think God does it? Don't parents do all they can to save their children? God is better than the best parent, he will do all he can, in fact he
already did, now its our turn to receive what he had done for us in
faith.

People often quote Job to state what they are going through is from God, but its something different, God knew that Job will survive, but there also God told the devil not to play with Job's life and God restored all what Job lost in the double measure.

Deu 30:19. I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that thou mayest live, ......

In the above verse God say He set before us life and death, and for some who might have difficulty in making the right choice he gives the hint “choose life”, so that they live, still we blame God for our bad choice

Also in John 10:10 Jesus say.. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

So when our peace is stolen or our health is destroyed or someone we love get killed we should know who is in action.

We are living in a corrupt world and no one is perfect enough to keep the devil away, at times he may attack us and over powers us, but we don't have to let him camp in us and get going, through Christ we can pull down his strongholds and kick him out, he is already a defeated enemy ......
the Bible say in James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Instead of resisting the devil, if we are submitting to the devil believing that he is doing so with Gods permission, we will never be able to get out of his grip. Its a mind set that the devil creates in us so
that we don't resist him, he is a liar.

In James 1:13-15 Bible say Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and
sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

The devil exploits our weakness, as long as we are close to God we are under His protection but at times we stray off and the devil start attacking us, when we sin we are giving the devil a foothold in our and life and once he is in there he start stealing, killing and destroying. So
walk closer to God and that will help us to stay away from the devil.

God is love, His unconditional love is there for everyone, as we walk closer to him we will get to know it more and more.......

Remember! Its not being holy and righteous that gets us close to God, its getting close to God that makes us holy and righteous.

Fully dependent on God!

In the garden of Eden, there were two trees, The “Tree of Life” and the “Tree of Knowledge” The fruit of the tree of life gives eternal life, in John 17:3 Jesus says “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” So eternal life is knowing God, or a life that depends solely on God. The fruit of the tree of knowledge gives us the ability to decide what is good and bad for us, that’s a life independent of God. So it was a choice for mankind whether be depend on God or to be independent of him. And man choose to be independent of God

When man sinned, his spirit died and with that the man lost contact with God. But God didn’t want to lose man, so he send his only begotten son Jesus to save the mankind.

Jesus said, to be in the Kingdom of God, man needs to be born again, it means the spirit of the man that died due to sins need to live again… true life need to come back into man, only then the gap between man and God can be bridged. Jesus said “I am the way the truth and the life”. He came to give life and life in abundance. He who know no sin became sin and died for us, He redeemed us from the wages of sin, once and for all.

So by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and believing in him we get saved, we will become a new creation, in other words our dead spirit will be born again. Once we are born again, our spirit comes back to life and we will be able to know God.

Going to a church or following some doctrines or doing good deeds to compensate our sins will never save you. To be saved you need a saviour and that’s Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

Christian life is a life lived by faith, fully dependent on God. He knows everything and always does what is good for us, so its better to be dependent on Him rather than doing anything on our own.
